| Description | - Lowers energy costs by automatically detecting when windows are opened for airing; - During airing, the room temperature is set to Reduced; as soon as the window is closed, the thermostat resumes its heating program; - Configuration is done on HomeMatic Wall Thermostat, thus the Thermostat / Actuator / Window Sensor form a stand-alone smart automation; - By using the device with HomeMatic Central Control Unit enhanced capabilities, the sensor can also be used as part of the House Alarm System and House Automation System to flag open windows and have CCU1 remotely close them; - The HomeMatic Window Sensor is self-adhesive, so can be placed anywhere in the room with no additional wiring; - The HomeMatic Window Sensor is also battery powered, so there is no need for wall drilling!!! - The sensor transmits the battery status and window status (open/close) to HomeMatic Wall Thermostat every five minutes; this low-power technology enables battery life of up to three years; - With witness LED to confirm command. |
