MAX! SYSTEM POSITION IN CURRENT SMART HOUSE MARKET:
MAX! SYSTEM is an inexpensive way to transform your place into a Smart House Online by transforming each room into a heating zone and heating only the zones that you need, when you need them. The range – except the Central Controlled Unit and the Switched Power Outlet – comprises of wireless, battery powered devices; our heating control app is simple and intuitive. The wireless thermostat heads replace your existing thermostatic heads, thus allowing you to control each radiator in the house independently; the boiler remote control app automatically switches off the boiler based on the pilot room temperature.

Bringing German quality at modest price, the MAX! System is superior to Nest, Hive Home and HeatMiser systems due to its flexibility, stability, ease of installation and low operating costs.

- Compared to the Nest Thermostat which is designed to replace the old house thermostat, our smart thermostat is battery powered and can be placed anywhere in the house; in addition, unlike the Nest Thermostat – of which you can only have one per house – our intelligent home design means you can have one wireless thermostat in each room that you want to control (i.e. a heating zone). The Nest heating control app is basic and only allows few operations when checked against our thermostat app.
- Compared to the Hive Home our smart house represents a far more affordable and STABLE solution (check this Hive Active Heating forum for people’s negative experience with the hive app) and Hive Home.
- Finally, compared to HeatMiser - where only the neoAir thermostat has smart house online capabilities, all our ranges offer smart thermostat IP enabled control via the Central Control Unit and a thermostat app to transform your home into an Intelligent Home.
SETUP:
The physical installation comprises of replacing the old thermostatic heads with MAX! Radiator Thermostat (note that there is no interference with the valve, which remains untouched) – this will enable the radiator control, the temperature point readout and the local control; if position of the valve is hard to reach or more than one radiator exist in a room, user can use the MAX! Wall Thermostat, which can control up to 8 MAX! Radiator Thermostats. The programming part is done on a computer - using the free software provided – from where the home automation protocols are transferred to the MAX! CCU LAN Gateway: users can create rooms, assign them devices and create independent heating programs (daily / weekly / weekdays and weekends) for each room according to their house layout - once completed, the Gateway takes over the control function and the computer can be disconnected.

OPERATION:
The active thermostatic probe (either from the radiator thermostat or the wall thermostat) reads the room’s temperature, compares it to the pre-set temperature and commands the MAX! Radiator Thermostat to either open (actual temperature < pre-set temperature) or close (actual temperature > pre-set temperature) the radiator valve. The process repeats itself every 5 minutes. If a MAX! Window Contact is used in the room and the window is open, the heating program is overridden to close the radiator valve, thus saving energy. We also offer users the MAX! Eco Switch which allows users to turn off all radiators at a press of a button when leaving home, and resume all programs by pressing the same button upon their return.

WEB CONTROL:
Users can use the free app ELV MAX! - from the Apple Store / Google Play - installed on their mobile devices to override the heating programs in each room via the Internet. In addition, by using the MAX! Switched Power Outlet , users can remotely start / stop the boiler, which is a useful function when leaving home for holidays.
