Additional Information

Description In many heating systems, the recirculation pump works continuously regardless of the actual heat demand in the house, thus making the whole system inefficient.

Our Heat Demand Relay can easily change this: it evaluates the data sent from each valve actuators (up to 10 rooms) and starts / stops the burner and/or the circulation pump, based on the actual heat demand:
- The FHT 8W has a switching output which acts on the burner to control the heating directly and on the circulation pump to stop the hot water going needlesly through the by-pass balancing valve;
- In automatic mode, the device compares the data sent every minute from the room controller (i.e. % valve opening) to determine when switching off is required; manual switching available;
- Works with all controllers of the FHT range (FHT 80b, FHZ 1000) and actuators (FHT 8V) – each room has to be taught-in the relay;
- System has an intelligent signal loss detection to warn when persistent interference is encountered;
- The unit's display shows both the status of the room controller (for example, signal loss) and the switching output of the FHT 8W and other operational information;
- If the device must be placed away from the heater and a wired connection is not possible, you can retrofit a transmitter module, which in turn drives a FS20 switching receiver; the switching output will then take the actuator function - please contact us for further details if this is your case.
